Large Pistol Primers #300 (1000)

CCI Standard Primers in the 300 Large Pistol size are boxer-type initiators for reloading non-magnum large pistol cartridges. Each box holds a full 1000 primers giving handloaders a steady component supply for a busy reloading bench. The standout is CCI's increased-sensitivity design which widens the sensitivity sweet spot for more positive ignition even in guns that deliver off-center strikes.

These are standard non-magnum large pistol primers so match them to the correct cartridge before you load. CCI designed them for cartridges such as the .45 ACP and .44 Special and they also cover older classics like the .38-40 Winchester. It is a commonly used component in large-pistol reloading recipes so it slots into the loads you likely already trust.

CCI made the 300 primers more sensitive and easier to seat than older-style primers. They feed smoothly through progressive presses and automated loading equipment and they also seat reliably in hand-priming tools. Consistent seating helps you keep primer depth uniform across a whole batch whether you run long high-volume sessions or careful single-stage work.

The initiator compound is non-corrosive and non-mercuric and it burns clean. That cleaner burn leaves primer pockets cleaner so you get more shots between cleanings and notice less buildup during routine brass prep. It matters most during long sessions when residue can otherwise slow your priming and seating.
